The Importance of Parent Engagement and RTI:
Parent Engagement is a key factor to successful RTI process. It has been proven that parent engagement can dramatically increase a child success, in the classroom, regardless of socioeconomics. Supporting your student can not only benefit them, but the teacher as. Being able to have an open door policy with the school personnel and teacher can give you insightful information about what interventions have worked and haven't worked for your child. You, as the parent, can also give helpful information, to the teacher, in assisting your child to succeed in their education. Remember, a parent knows their child best.
How to become involved with your child and the RTI Process:
Becoming involved with your child's education doesn't mean you have to join the PTA or become a room parent. Being involved can be as easy as setting time aside to ask questions about what has happened throughout the day. Check for newsletters coming home, events coming up at your child's school
