About Us

PAVE is a parent directed organization that works with families, individuals with disabilities, professionals and community members in all walks of life and with all types of disabilities. Since 1979, PAVE has provided information, training and support for over 1,000,000 individuals with disabilities, parents and professionals.

PAVE began with a small seed grant that provided assistance for families in Pierce County, Washington. PAVE currently has many different programs that cover a variety of areas and resources. (For specific resources provided by each program - click on the links below.) These include:
  • Community Inclusion Program - Pierce County
  • Family to Family Health Information Center - Washington State
  • Early Supports for Infants and Toddlers (ESIT) - Washington State
  • Parent Training and Information Center- Washington State
  • Pierce County Parent to Parent - Pierce County
  • Person Centered Planning Program of Pierce County - Pierce County
  • Response to Intervention (RTI) - Information for Families - Statewide
  • Specialized Training of Military Parents (STOMP) - Worldwide
  • 360 Military Family Center - Tacoma/Pierce County
